I have stayed in several very cheap hotels in and around Hartford. Since the price of this one is normally a little higher than the ones I book, I didn't give this one much of a thought until I got sent a "Good buy" notice in my e-mail giving me a twenty dollar discount or so on a weekend reservation. This was, by far, the NICEST hotel I have stayed in. The room did not smell, there were no questionable stains in the tub, on the carpets or bedding, there was no mold, and when you check in, the staff was not secured behind bullet proof glass. All these things alone would make it a great and CLEAN place to stay. But not only that, the beds were extremely cushy and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable with Fresh muffins, boiled eggs, bagels, toast, and a waffle maker. The hotel was easily locatable right off the highway exit, and was surrounded by many fast food places and a few restaurants. The staff was incredibly easy going, and even though the number of of people changed in my room from the time I booked, there was no issue or question about it. I was commuting back and forth the the Convention Center in Hartford, and the fifteen minute drive was, by all means, worth it. A really great experience, I would stay again.

I stayed here on a weekend with my 3 children at Christmastime 2009 and the rate was $* (without tax). The hotel was in good shape, our room and bathroom was clean and well-decorated and the front desk was very helpful. I had to order in food at 12 midnight as we arrived very late and the person at the desk was essential. The breakfast buffet includes waffles you make yourself and boiled eggs you can heat in the microwave (REMEMBER -- NEVER EVER put a solid egg in the micro as it will EXPLODE in the micro or when you stick a fork in it. I learned the hard way. So now I chop up my eggs really well and heat them briefly.) Also, they had juice, cereal, bagels, coffee, etc. The buffet area was also well-maintained. In the lobby, they have a computer you can use and print out directions without any extra charge. I LOVE THIS PLACE! For the price, you really can't beat it. The value is very good. Similar hotels in the area cost at least $* - $* more per night. I am staying here again in May 2010 and will stay here over and over.

first time visitor i was impress got more for my money. Good breakfast included and friendly staff. Would stay again. Only distress was heater is automated so room is sometimes cold other times warm. You have to play with thermostate for room to stay consistantly warm

11/05/2009In all respects, a great deal. not the taj mahal, but very nice and clean, good service, everything went smoothly. absolutely no problems or complaints.

Convenient location near Hartford CT airport
11/24/2008Hotel was in a quiet location but close to airport. comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff. only there for 1 night, but would recommend it for stop over in bdl area.
